They're all here: Wilbur, the pig who wants to avoid the butcher; Fern, the girl who understands what animals say; Templeton, the rat who might
be talked into a good deed; the Zuckermans and Arables; and the extraordinary spider Charlotte, who proves to be a "true friend and a good writer." Determined to save Wilbur, Charlotte begins her efforts with a surprising message in her web, "Some pig." It's the start of a victorious campaign which ends with Wilbur - now safe - doing what is most important to Charlotte.
Make Magik memories this summer: more than 12,000 campers aged 3 to 17 have taken part in Camp Showbiz, our community’s premier summer theatre arts program. With a focus on fun, learning, and creativity, this summer camp offers age-targeted theatre classes in a day-camp structure of one-, two-, and four-week sessions, ending with an opportunity for students to share what they've created with friends and family. Camp will be held at both Magik locations, downtown and northside. Extended-care options are available, too. Sign up today!
Performances will take place at The Magik Performing Arts Center, 5359 Casa Bella, San Antonio, Texas 78249, off the IH-10 West access road between De Zavala Road and UTSA Boulevard. Click here for a map.
The Magik Theatre presents Wake Up, Brother, Bear!
, a unique, intimate production geared toward children ages 5 and under. Watch Brother and Sister Bear experience a full year of glorious seasons: together we see a waterfall melt, meet a butterfly, chase an elusive fish, and skate on an icy pond. Children are invited to join the action with a small bag of props that help create magical moments.
Theatre for the Very Young uses music, art and hands-on sensory experiences to connect children to literature. Wake Up, Brother Bear!
was originally developed by Imagination Stage in Bethesda, Maryland. Only four more performances of this outstanding show - get your tickets now!
We are pleased to announce that we will offer sensory-friendly performances for most of our shows this year, providing an opportunity for patrons on the autism spectrum and their families to enjoy live theatre. During a sensory-friendly performance, house lights are kept on, sound levels are lower, audience members are free to talk and leave their seats during the performance, a designated quiet area is provided, outside snacks are permitted, and audience numbers are kept smaller, to offer an experience that will be both enjoyable and comfortable. for information about all our sensory-friendly shows. Our next sensory-friendly performance: Charlotte's Web, Sunday, May 15, 2:00 PM. Seating is limited and reservations are required.
