His vision for a vibrant, connected Hemisfair has given Magik the community and the setting to thrive, and his leadership continues to shape a downtown where culture, creativity, and family come together.

Michael Shannon

Magik Maker Award

Congratulations to Mike Shannon, recipient of this year’s Magik Maker Award! Mike led the South Alamo Street project to completion, fostering better communication and dialogue among area stakeholders and communities throughout the process. He also brought that same leadership to Magik, guiding our bond project and advocating for Magik Theatre and our building at the City. We’re grateful for his hands-on commitment to our mission and our home downtown.
