In this brand-new 5-class Saturday Series, campers will be introduced to the traditions, artistry, and values of Día de los Muertos. Inspired by the themes of Disney-Pixar’s Coco and the spirit of the holiday, campers step into a world of marigolds, music, and of course, Magik!
Over five Saturdays, campers will explore themes of family, community, and heritage. Marigold Memories Camp is designed to celebrate the traditions of Día de los Muertos while helping young artists appreciate the history, symbolism, and cultural significance behind the celebration. Some examples of camp activities include creating beautiful papel picado, designing alebrije spirit guides, crafting vibrant marigolds, and tasting delicious pan de muerto.
Students Will:
- Find their voice: Through storytelling, acting games, and theatre activities, students will practice speaking in front of a crowd. They will discover how the stories we tell keep our loved ones close.
- Practice Creativity: Campers will participate in script rehearsal, voice and dance lessons, and character development. They will find out how a song can carry a memory across generations.
- Make new friends: Campers practice teamwork and collaboration as they create their show and honor traditions that neighbors across San Antonio celebrate together.
On the last day of camp, students will have the privilege of performing at Muertos Fest. This event is free, open to the public, and is widely recognized as one of the largest Día de los Muertos celebrations in the United States. Our campers will take the stage in a heartfelt celebration of the stories that allow us to keep our loved one’s spirits alive, long after they’re gone.
If your camper is ready to explore the exciting traditions of Día de los Muertos, then register today and join us as we bring these vibrant traditions to life!

In this brand-new 5-class Saturday Series, campers will be introduced to the warmth, whimsy, and wonder of the holiday season. Inspired by Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas! and the spirit of the holidays, campers step into a world of snowflakes, songs, and of course, Magik!
Over five Saturdays, campers will explore themes of kindness, community, and generosity, celebrating the traditions that light up winter in San Antonio, while discovering that the real magic of the season lives in the people we share it with. Some examples of camp activities include cutting intricate paper snowflakes, designing a loyal sidekick inspired by Max, crafting Who-worthy wreaths and ornaments, and sipping delicious hot cocoa.
Students Will:
- Find their voice: Through storytelling, acting games, and theatre activities, students will practice speaking in front of a crowd. Like Cindy Lou Who, they will learn that one small voice, used bravely, can make a huge difference.
- Practice Creativity: Campers will participate in script rehearsal, voice and dance lessons, and character development. They will find out how a single song, sung hand in hand, can soften even the grumpiest hearts.
- Make new friends: Campers practice teamwork and collaboration as they celebrate the traditions San Antonio looks forward to each Winter season.
On the last day of camp, students will participate in a fun holiday party featuring a white elephant gift exchange with items they have hand made for each other. Holiday Hijinks Camp is a celebration of one simple idea: the holidays arrive not because of what we unwrap, but because of who we share it with.
If your camper is ready to discover the Magik of the holidays, then register today and join us as we celebrate the most wonderful time of year!
