The settlers have just arrived at Jamestown and things are not going as they expected. The locals are hostile, supply ships are missing, they are running out of food and winter is approaching. The leader, Captain John Smith meets and is befriended by the young Indian princess Pocahontas. She helps Smith and the colonists to survive until her father forbids her to help anymore. She is forced to choose between her father's wishes and what she believes is right.
