Mainstage Jr.: The Best Christmas Pageant Ever

Mainstage Jr students will work cooperatively to create a repertory company that produce a play for public performance on the Magik stage. Students will learn the audition and rehearsal process, while exploring intermediate acting techniques. The Fall 2017 production will be The Best Christmas Pageant Ever based on the book by Barbara Robinson. It  follows the outrageous shenanigans of the Herdman siblings, or “the worst kids in the history of the world.” The siblings take over the annual Christmas pageant in a hilarious yet heartwarming tale involving the Three Wise Men, a ham, scared shepherds, and six rowdy kids.

Classes begin week of September 16th and run through November 17th. Semester classes culminate in a sharing of work at MPAC. The sharing or showcase form is dependent on the type of work and age of student. The Mainstage Jr. class will perform The Best Christmas Pageant on The Magik Theatre stage December 8th and 9th.
