Romeo and Juliet. Hamlet. Macbeth. William Shakespeare created some of the most enduring works of drama and comedy in history. But most American students only experience Shakespeare on the page.
Magik’s free Shakespeare Speaks program brings performance workshops to area middle and high school students, with the goals of making Shakespeare’s words spring to life, demystifying the language of Elizabethan-era drama, and fostering enthusiasm for further study of Shakespeare and other playwrights.
