The Return of Plucky Pirates & Pinkalicious Princesses      Ages 5 - 6
Land ho! Join us once again on an adventure across the Seven Seas with the crew of the S.S. Imagineer as we discover an island filled with buried treasure and tiaras. You’ll take a trip far, far away to learn how pirates and color-changing princesses can work together to create an aaargh-tistic jewel of a show! This royal class is sure to please lads and lassies alike.

The Wild, Wild (South)West                Ages 5 - 6
Hitch up the wagon and hit the dusty trail toward finding your inner cowboy or cowgirl in this rodeo of an acting class! Head ‘em up and move ‘em out to the Magik Ranch, where we’ll create sharp-shootin’ heroes and ten-gallon bad guys. So gather ’round our creativity campfire. You’re sure to lose your city slicker ways and learn all the theatre fundamentals under the Texas sky.

Superhero Sleuths                              Ages 6 - 8
BANG! ZOOM! KABOOM! This class will send you soaring into the skies of action and adventure while you train to be a super-actor! Pick your favorite mystery- solving, villain-destroying, world-saving superhero, or even make up your very own!  This is a not-to-be-missed course for the adventurer in all of us because even superheroes need to be trained.

Fractured Fairy Tales                          Ages 6- 8
This class takes your favorite childhood tales, from Mother Goose to the Brothers Grimm, and turns them up, down, and all around to take a comedic turn. You’ll combine characters from damsels in distress to the giants in the sky, and create a hilarious tale telling what happens when all their fairytale worlds collide. You’ll also learn the fundamentals of comedy, theatre, and storytelling in this fantastical camp course.

Magikal Monsters and Myths                Ages 8 - 10
We’ve all heard the stories of Percy Jackson and grown up with the legends of the Greek gods from Aphrodite to Zeus. Now it’s your turn to take on these three-headed tall tales! Climb to the top of Mount Olympus while gaining knowledge in the ways of the stage. When you reach the top you’ll be sure to have a larger-than-life performance that will light up the stage from here to the heavens!

From Page to Stage: Diary of a Wimpy Kid      Ages 8 - 12

This class, based on Jeff Kinney’s popular books, is back for another summer. Students will explore the world of endearingly wimpy Greg, his family and friends, and best of all, his beloved diary. Along with learning exciting new theatre games and skills, you’ll keep your very own diary to help you create a brand new chapter in the world of Wimpy Kid. At the end of the class we’ll combine all your new ideas into a world premiere Wimpy Kid performance of your own!


Harry Potter’s Last Stand                     Ages 10 - 12
It’s hard to believe, but the adventures of magic and muggles are reaching their final chapter. While learning the tools an actor needs to be a captivating performer, you’ll put your own spin on how Harry’s years at Hogwarts will end. Hop on your Nimbus one last time and take to the spellbinding skies to find out if good prevails once and for all.

Spooky Stories of R. L. Stine                Ages 10 - 14
Next season, The Magik Theatre will present the world premiere stage adaptation of R. L. Stine’s “Mostly Ghostly” series. In celebration of this momentous event, we’re adding a new class to this summer’s roster. We’ll take stories from all of Stine’s books, including his popular Goosebumps series, and turn them into mini-plays that are sure to send shivers down your spine. Some of your ideas may even find their way into our play next season!

Musical Theatre Marathon                     Ages 8 - 14
Session 3– Rock and Roll on Broadway
Our popular musical theatre class is back! We’ll focus on excerpts from a different musical or musical theatre genre per session. This class will teach you how to become a musical theatre “triple threat”: singing, dancing, and acting. The course will culminate in a show-stopping production featuring musical scenes and selections at the end of each session. Take all five sessions and become a Musical Theatre Marathon Master!

The Magik School of Rock & Roll**        Ages 10 – 17

Taught by professional musicians, this class is a crash course in how to form a band in two weeks using a little pizzazz, some guitars, keyboards, voice, drums, and any other musical instrument you can imagine! You’ll form your own band, choose a rockin’ name, cover classic songs, and even write your own chart toppers. After just a couple weeks of hard work and plenty of fun, you’ll debut your super group in a mini concert at the end of the camp session. Who knows, maybe this is your ticket to the music Hall of Fame! **Students must have some experience playing a musical instrument and/or singing.

TEEN XTREME: The Hunger Games     Ages 13-17
Based on the popular series by Suzanne Collins, this class will explore the post-apocalyptic world of The Hunger Games. Along with acting techniques, you’ll also learn all about writing stage adaptations. It’s up to you whether your version is by the books or if you take Katniss and Peeta in a whole new direction.
