KINDERGARTEN – GRADE 1
SING, DANCE, PLAY!
Tuition: $225
Creative play helps young children develop
skills in voice, movement, and improvisation, while promoting cooperation,
empathy, critical thinking, and problem solving skills. This class will use
song, dance, and other forms of creative play to help our youngest students
discover and share their artistic voices, and begin to work together as
performers. Sing, Dance, Play! students will showcase their favorite class
songs at semester’s end.
GRADES 2 – 4
JUNIOR REP COMPANY
Tuition: $295
Magik’s Junior Rep Company is the place to start
outfitting an actor’s toolbox. Magik’s professional artists will help Juniors
develop their skills in acting, singing, dancing, while touching on set design,
costuming, and props. Most important, students will learn how to cooperate as
young artists to build a rep company of their very own. Teachers will select a
production based on final Junior Rep Company enrollment, choosing from among: Pecos Bill, If You Give a Pig a Party, Go
Dog Go!, or Junie B. Jones.
GRADES 5-8
APPRENTICE REP COMPANY
Tuition: $295
With
Magik’s resident rep company as guides, Apprentice Rep members will continue to
gain and improve performance skills, while getting more hands-on experience in
technical theatre. Apprentices will work cooperatively to create a rep company
that truly reflects its members. Teachers will select a production based on
final Apprentice Rep Company enrollment, choosing from among: How I Became a Pirate, The Jungle Book, Roxaboxen, or Seussical Jr.
GRADES 9 – 12
TEEN REP COMPANY
Tuition: FREETeen
Rep Company members will train across a broad range of theatre forms, while
working to master a wide array of theatre skills, including acting, improv,
voice, movement, and technical theatre. Through a cooperative process, Teen Rep
members and their teachers will produce an existing play or musical, or create
an original production. (**Note: 8th graders who participated in
Teen Rep or Teen Musical Theatre during the Fall 2011 semester may enroll in
Teen Rep for the Spring 2012 semester.)
