Roxaboxen
Adapted by Richard Rosen from the book by Alice McClerran

This play takes us to a time when vacant lots became places where children used their imagination to make magical worlds where children can play without fear.
Set in Yuma, Arizona in 1918, this true story is about a group of children who turn
an empty hill filled with boxes and rocks into a town with roads paved in stone,
amber, and amethyst.  Roxaboxen is about the need for children to play without restriction, creating worlds where imagination rules.
